Like pretty much everyone else on the planet, we are ‘obliged’ to demonstrate how we are meeting GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requirements – a new European Union data protection law that took effect May 25, 2018.
Gruntwerx is a boutique service firm. We operate at this website address www.gruntwerx.com . We’re pretty easy going … people come to us not the other way around, so we don’t really do any ‘marketing’.
What data we collect and what we do with it.
Our website: We don’t have an opt-in on our website so we are not gathering or storing names or email addresses with our site. Neither do we sell anything on our site so payment details are not held on our website.
Our website is protected by an SSL certificate (https), two-factor authentication as well as WP Security and Wordfence plugins. It is regularly swept for malware and consistently updates its plugins and themes. We receive weekly reports of all attempted logins and access. No customer data is stored directly on this website; however, WordPress provides data erasure if required. We do not import SEO data into this website or even maintain SEO data from Google Analytics.
Most of our clients pay for their services via bank transfers. We use Square to accept credit card payments as well as PayPal. Both companies have updated their Privacy Policies (as far as we can tell), to respond to GDPR requirements. We do not hold any payment information or statistics on our website.
We use social media mostly to share information and tips. We are not using Facebook pixels or other marketing tools to sell anything. No one is obliged to follow our social media accounts.
